HEAD CHAIR – Hansol Lee

Greetings, Delegates!

It is my greatest honor to welcome you to ECOSOC at this year’s CSIAMUN. My name is Hansol Joshua Lee, a junior at CheongShim International Academy, and I am truly grateful to serve as your Head Chair.

Over the three days of conference, ECOSOC will become more than simply a room for speeches and resolutions. It will be a place where different perspectives collide, ideas are challenged, and meaningful solutions are shaped through cooperation. As your Head Chair, my goal is to create an environment where every delegate feels confident enough to speak, curious enough to listen, and inspired enough to think beyond the obvious.

At CSIAMUN, we do not gather merely to represent countries. We gather to become the kind of global citizens who can understand the world from perspectives far beyond our own. Every speech, negotiation, amendment, and resolution is an opportunity to question what we already know and discover what we are capable of creating together.

And ultimately, the quality of ECOSOC will not be defined by its chairs, but by its delegates. I hope that each of you will take pride in the ideas you bring to the committee, the alliances you build, and the discussions you leave behind. Whether you are an experienced MUN delegate or stepping into the committee room for the first time, I hope you leave CSIAMUN knowing that your voice mattered.

I am incredibly excited to witness the passion, creativity, and determination that each of you will bring to ECOSOC. Let us make these three days not simply a conference to remember, but a conference worth remembering.

DEPUTY CHAIR – Hokyeong Kwon

Greetings, delegates!

It is a true honor and privilege to serve as your Deputy Chair of ECOSOC for this year’s CSIAMUN. My name is Hokyeong Kwon. I am a freshman at CheongShim International Academy, and I could not be more excited to walk into these three days of conference alongside you.

Over the course of the conference, ECOSOC will tackle some of the most pressing and consequential issues shaping our world today. These topics will demand not only sharp policy thinking but genuine empathy for the generations who will inherit the decisions we make. As Deputy Chair, my goal is to work alongside our Head Chair to build a committee room that is energetic and rigorous. This room should never be afraid of disagreement. The strongest resolutions are born through friction, not comfort.

CSIAMUN exists to turn delegates into more than skilled negotiators. It exists to turn you into thinkers capable of grappling with the world’s hardest questions with both precision and conscience. I hope you leave this committee having sharpened not just your delegate skills but your understanding of what it means to think globally.

I cannot wait to see the ambition, sharpness, and creativity each of you brings to the floor.
