Secretary-General – Jiwon Choi

Dear Delegates, Advisors, and Esteemed Community Members,
My name is Jiwon Choi, and it is my absolute privilege to welcome you to the nineteenth iteration of the Cheongshim International Model United Nations, taking place from February 10–12, 2027, in Gapyeong, South Korea.
Our team at CSIAMUN is dedicated to fostering an inspiring and impactful platform for every participant. Whether you are delivering your very first opening speech or returning to hone your diplomatic skills, we are fully devoted to delivering a conference that is both intellectually challenging and deeply fulfilling.
Having spent five years within the CSIAMUN community as both a delegate and a committee chair, I have experienced firsthand how transformational this conference can be. It extends far beyond parliamentary procedure—it is a community where lasting connections are built, innovative perspectives emerge, and future leaders grow. This year, we are proud to introduce an age-segmented committee structure designed to offer a more tailored and engaging environment for everyone. With dynamic bodies such as the Crisis Committee, the Security Council, and the Economic and Social Council, delegates of all backgrounds will find the ideal setting to thrive and collaborate.
We are eagerly anticipating your arrival this February. Should you have any inquiries or require assistance, please feel free to contact me at csiamun@csia.hs.kr.
On behalf of the entire Secretariat, welcome to CSIAMUN 2027. We cannot wait to see you in Gapyeong!
Warm regards,
Jiwon Choi
Secretary-General

Deputy Secretary-General – Yunseo Summer Park

Welcome, distinguished delegates!
It is my great honor to serve this year’s CSIAMUN as your Deputy Secretary-General. My name is Yunseo Summer Park, a Junior at Cheongshim International Academy, and I am incredibly excited to be part of the team bringing this conference to life.
Having spent much of my time exploring international affairs, youth participation, and the ways in which people with different perspectives can come together, I have come to see MUN as much more than a conference centered on diplomacy. To me, MUN is a place where we are challenged to step outside the perspectives we are most comfortable with, such as to represent ideas we may not personally agree with, listen to people who see the world differently, and find solutions that none of us could have reached alone.
That is what I hope CSIAMUN will be.
Over the three days of our conference, I hope CSIAMUN becomes a space where delegates feel comfortable questioning assumptions, challenging one another respectfully, and looking beyond the most obvious solutions. I hope that in the process, we learn to listen as much as we speak, reconsider our own positions, find room for compromise, and turn disagreement into progress.
As your Deputy Secretary-General, I hope to contribute to making CSIAMUN a conference where each and every one of you can fully immerse themselves in discussion, collaboration, and diplomacy. More than anything, I want delegates to feel that there is a place for their ideas and perspectives here.
Three days may seem short. Yet genuine dialogue can change the way we understand an issue, a country, or even one another. The stage is set; now, it is your turn to shape the conversation!
I look forward to seeing what you will bring to the conference, see you all in February!
Deputy Secretary-General – Seoheun Lee

Esteemed delegates, welcome.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the chance to serve as the deputy secretary general of CSIAMUN XIX. I am Seoheun Lee. From a young, zealous delegate to an earnest secretary, years of dedication have granted me the opportunity to bestow an exquisite experience upon participants. Amid the profusion of cogent discourse engaged in by distinguished delegates, I vow to maintain impartiality throughout this conference. Indeed, the eminence of CSIAMUN is ascribed to all the delegates, as it derives from the belief in one’s own significance and the efficacy of ardent affiliation.
Question, share, and compromise.
Anyone can surmount challenges. Everyone can learn.
We look forward to welcoming you in February.
Best regards,
Seoheun Lee.

Head of Staff – Nahyun Kim

Welcome, delegates!
My name is Nahyun Kim, and I am a junior at Cheongshim International Academy, serving as the Head of Staff for CSIAMUN XIX. Beyond MUN, I have a strong passion for architecture, cities, and the stories that streets tell. I believe that, much like cities, MUN brings together people with different backgrounds and perspectives to create something meaningful through dialogue and collaboration.
As the Head of Staff, I hope to make CSIAMUN a conference that every delegate can look back on as an experience worth remembering. While delegates focus on debate, discussion, and diplomacy, I work behind the scenes with our staff team to ensure that the conference runs smoothly. From coordinating logistics to supporting committees, I approach every part of the process with careful attention to detail and a commitment to creating the best possible experience for our delegates.
MUN can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when entering a committee room for the first time. However, I hope CSIAMUN will be a place where you feel comfortable sharing your ideas, challenging perspectives, and learning from those around you. I am excited to meet all of you this January, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need any assistance throughout the conference.
