In the context of CSIAMUN, the UNCSTD committee encourages delegates to explore inclusive policies, equitable access to digital infrastructure, and innovative solutions that bridge technological divides between nations. Establishing International Guidelines for the Advancement of Space Colonization

Rapid commercial and national advancement into outer space demands immediate governance regarding celestial resource extraction and human settlement. Delegates will draft international standards to prevent spatial militarization, ensure equitable resource distribution, and guide ethical space colonization.

Agenda B:

Mitigating the Socioeconomic Impacts of Automation and AI on Global Labor Markets

Accelerating industrial automation risks displacing millions of workers, particularly across vulnerable demographics in developing nations. Delegates will examine multilateral policies to cushion economic shocks, fund lifelong reskilling programs, and safeguard labor dignity in an automated world.

Greetings, delegates!

It is my distinct honor and privilege to serve as your co-chair of UNCSTD for this year’s CSIAMUN. My name is Minseo Kim, a student at CheongShim International Academy.

We have prepared for the delegates of UNCSTD the chance to indulge in rigorous debate, constructive dialogue, and meaningful collaboration on two of the most pressing contemporary issues surrounding science and technology. As your co-chair, I hope to be the approachable guide you can depend on during your intellectual journey at the CSIAMUN venue, whether that be through helping your innovative ideas be heard, or by creating a vibrant atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

CSIAMUN is designed to challenge you not only to refine your diplomatic and analytical skills, but also to develop a nuanced understanding of your role as global citizens. I encourage each of you to approach this conference as an opportunity to engage deeply with your peers and articulate a clear, thoughtful approach to global affairs.

I, as Co-Chair, am anticipating to
review creative, well-researched resolutions that reflect both academic rigor and a genuine empathy for impacted stakeholders.

Greetings, delegates.

It is truly an honor and a great privilege to serve as your Co-Chair of UNCSTD for this year’s CSIAMUN. My name is Elly Geonhui Moon, a sophomore at CheongShim International Academy.

Throughout the conference, the delegates of UNCSTD will engage in energetic debates, thought-provoking discussions, and meaningful collaborations on two rapidly evolving issues at the intersection of science, technology, and international affairs. From the impacts of generative artificial intelligence on the commodification of creative content to the establishment of international guidelines for the advancement of space colonization, our committee will explore how scientific and technological progress can be guided toward a more responsible and sustainable future.

As your Co-Chair, my goal is to create an engaging environment where every delegate can freely express their perspectives, challenge existing ideas, and contribute to constructive discussions. I hope UNCSTD will become a place where delegates can look beyond the technical aspects of scientific advancement and consider the broader ethical, social, and international implications that accompany it.

CSIAMUN brings together aspiring global leaders from around the world, providing delegates with an opportunity not only to strengthen their diplomatic skills but also to develop the ability to approach complex global issues from diverse perspectives.
