Intro
CSIAMUN’s Crisis Committee demands dynamic decision-making and swift strategic adaptations in response to rapidly evolving historical events. Set in the immediate, high-stakes aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor, delegates will assume the roles of key historical figures, military commanders, and political leaders, each wielding distinct operational power and influence. Navigating the fluid and high-pressure environment of crisis diplomacy, delegates must combine creative strategy, tactical foresight, and alliance-building to direct military mobilization, execute covert intelligence operations, and manage shifting global geopolitics. Each delegate will receive a dedicated character portfolio detailing their background, initial assets, and confidential directives. These portfolios serve as strategic blueprints, and delegates will be evaluated on their ability to execute their covert objectives while responding effectively to real-time crisis updates.

Agenda: Addressing the rapid expansion of global warfare and political tensions in the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor
Following Nazi Germany’s deficiency in Operation Barbarossa, the momentum of war has shifted, leading to the Allied invasion of Sicily. Although the Allies were able to establish an initial foothold through their landing operations, the Axis powers remained unbroken, resulting in prolonged and destructive warfare.With over 300,000 combined military and civilian casualties; notably within the Kingdom of Italy, the urgency for diplomatic negotiation has become undeniable. This agenda calls upon delegates to contemplate on possible paths toward peace, strategic recalibration, and the reorganisation of Europe’s balance of power, while also confronting the tension between national survival and the pursuit of compromise.
HEAD DIRECTOR – Yeonsu Ahn
Greetings, delegates!
It is truly an honor and a pleasure to serve as your Backroom Director for this year’s CSIAMUN Crisis Committee. My name is Yeonsu Ahn, and I am a graduate of CheongShim International Academy.
This year, our committee will take you back to one of the most pivotal moments in modern history: the attack on Pearl Harbor and the rapidly unfolding events surrounding it. Over the three days of the conference, delegates will step into the roles of historical figures, confront unexpected developments, and make decisions that may reshape the course of history.
As your Backroom Director, I am incredibly excited to work alongside the chairs and delegates to create a dynamic and immersive crisis experience. Throughout the conference, I will do my best to support each delegate in fully exploring their character, responding creatively to the evolving situation, and contributing their own ideas to the direction of the committee. Most importantly, I hope to help create an environment where everyone feels comfortable taking initiative, challenging themselves, and enjoying every part of the experience.
Having once participated in CSIAMUN as a student myself, returning as a graduate makes this conference especially meaningful to me. I am truly looking forward to working with the other chairs and supporting all of you behind the scenes so that every delegate can make the most of their role and, together, we can make these three days as exciting, memorable, and rewarding as possible.

DIRECTOR – Yeonjo Ahn
Greetings, esteemed delegates!
It is a great honor and privilege to welcome you all to the Crisis Committee of CSIAMUN XIX. My name is Yeonjo Ahn, the Head Chair of this committee. I am very delighted to serve as one of your Student Officers for this year’s conference.
This year, our committee will address the rapid expansion of global warfare and political tensions in the aftermath of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The attack marked a decisive turning point in the Second World War, drawing the United States directly into the conflict and further connecting the wars across Europe and the Asia-Pacific into a truly global struggle.
Unlike a traditional MUN committee, however, this Crisis Committee will place each delegate in the role of a distinct historical figure with unique authority, interests, and strategic objectives. As the crisis develops, unexpected events will constantly challenge you to negotiate, form alliances, make difficult decisions, and respond through both diplomatic and military measures. Your individual portfolios and objectives will therefore matter just as much as the position of the country you represent.
As a Student Officer, I hope to create a committee in which delegates feel confident enough to take risks, challenge one another, and develop creative strategies. Rather than simply recreating history, I hope you will consider the difficult choices faced by leaders of the time and explore how your own decisions could reshape the course of the crisis.
Most importantly, I hope CSIAMUN XIX will provide you with an opportunity not only to strengthen your skills as delegates, but also to become more thoughtful and adaptable decision-makers. I am truly looking forward to seeing the alliances you build, the crises you overcome, and perhaps even the history you rewrite.

My name is Estel, and I am honored to serve as your Frontroom Chair for the Crisis committee.
As the frontroom director, my responsibility is to maintain rigorous parliamentary order, facilitate precise and substantive debate, and ensure that your collective decisions move smoothly from floor discussions to actionable directives. Crisis committees present a unique environment where swift strategic thinking and diplomatic composure are equally vital. Throughout our sessions, I expect a high standard of debate, clear adherence to procedure, and well-developed solutions that effectively respond to the dynamic updates from our backroom team.
My team and I are dedicated to ensuring a seamless, structured, and challenging committee experience. We look forward to seeing your leadership and diplomacy in action.

Dear Delegates,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to this year’s CSIAMUN. My name is Minsung Kim, a sophomore at CheongShim International Academy, and I am honored to serve as one of the Deputy Chairs of the CRISIS Committee.
CRISIS is a committee where nothing is ever truly predictable. Throughout the conference, delegates will face rapidly changing situations that require creativity, strategic thinking, and decisive action. More than simply debating, I hope this committee will give you the opportunity to shape the course of events through your own ideas and decisions.
As your Deputy Chair, I hope to create a committee where every delegate feels encouraged to speak up, challenge ideas, and actively contribute to the unfolding crisis. I also look forward to seeing how each of you approaches unexpected challenges and works with others to find innovative solutions.
CSIAMUN is more than an opportunity to practice diplomacy. It is a place to experience, question, and learn through meaningful interactions with people from different backgrounds.
